About Sylvie
Sylvie Lestrade Graff is a therapist and CFM Teacher Certified in Mindfulness-Base Stress Reduction (MBSR) from the Department of Medicine University of Massachusetts Medical School.
She also has a Master of Science (MS) in Dance Movement Therapy (DMT) from the Pratt Institute in New York City and a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies and International Relations from the New School University.
Sylvie’s work in somatic dance/body/mind relations and dance therapy started at an early age in Paris, France. Her practice in meditation, yoga, and Eastern philosophy began in the early 80s, when she lived for three years in an Ashram in India
As a therapist she has taught Dance Movement Therapy and mindfulness practices in hospitals and nursing facilities in New York City. She has studied Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), The Alexander Technique (AT), relaxation techniques, Gestalt Therapy and Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB) from Daniel Siegel (Graduated in 2016 ) at the Mindsight Institute in California.
She applies all of these various techniques in her private practice.
Sylvie does mindfulness seminars and private coaching in France and the USA and offers instruction in both French and English.
Sylvie is certified for both MBSR seminars; in person and online.
